Privacy

This is a portfolio site. It sets no cookies and asks you for nothing. It does count visits, anonymously, so I can see which work people look at.

What this site collects

There are no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no embedded third-party widgets and no forms. Nothing here asks you for personal information. The one thing kept in your browser is your choice of light or dark theme, if you make one: your browser stores it for itself, it is sent nowhere, and it goes when you clear this site’s data. There is no account to create and nothing to log in to.

Analytics

To see which pages and projects people look at, this site uses PostHog. While a page is open it records the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, your browser, device and screen size, the page that sent you here, errors the page runs into, and your IP address with the approximate location worked out from it. It may also record how a page is used — scrolling, clicks and pointer movement — so that a visit can be replayed.

None of it carries a name or an email address. No cookie is set and nothing is written to your browser’s storage for it, so the site cannot recognise you when you come back: each visit starts anonymous and ends when you close the tab. The data goes through this domain to PostHog, which processes it for me on servers in the United States under its own privacy policy. Blocking scripts on this site stops it entirely.

What the host sees

The site is served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical details of a request — IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp — in order to deliver the page and to protect the service from abuse. That processing is Vercel’s and is described in their privacy policy. This site adds no server logging of its own on top of it.

Fonts, images and outbound links

The typeface is downloaded when the site is built and served from this domain, so opening a page makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font service. Images are served from this domain too.

Links to LinkedIn, Dribbble, Behance, DocSend, Instagram, YouTube and fitline.com are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to any of them unless you follow the link, at which point that service’s own policy applies rather than this one.

Email

Mail sent to me@heydenys.com is read by me and kept only as long as the conversation needs. It is not added to a mailing list, and it is never shared or sold.

Your rights

If you want to ask about the analytics above, want email we have exchanged deleted, or have any other question about this notice, write to me@heydenys.com and I will deal with it.

Changes

This notice describes the site as it is currently built. If what it collects ever changes — a new analytics setting, a contact form, an embed — this page changes first, in the same release.
